Another day, another bag.
I like the idea of charity, sometimes I wonder if we have too many and they could actually be more efficient with how they manage various aspects of their ways, but I think the concept of charity is good. Unfortunately I seem to be in a hotspot for hitting people up for charity as a couple of times per week the letterbox rattles and I find myself faced with a bin bag asking for old clothes and whatever else that charity will find useful. Who can actually donate clothes that frequently? I don't even read the charity any longer, today's offering had something about SOS Kids - never heard of them, no logo I can identify, maybe it's one I've heard of and that's their slogan but meh, I'll put it out empty and unopened again when I pop out later.
Every so often I logically do find myself in a situation where I could donate these things. In those times I'll probably tell my mum who volunteers at a Farleigh Hospice charity shop, and if she says it's worth a charity shop taking they'll probably get it. Whilst I think Farleigh Hospice is a good idea it's probably not a charity I'd think of in other regards and I've had enough books and other goodies from that shop in recent years (most recently a Bobby Moore shirt I'm debating whether to wear or keep as a collection item) that I'm happy to give back given how easy it will be for me. Even easier than filling a bin bag for a deadline in fact! I want a little sign for the door - "No Charity Bags". Of course it just proves I am an evil heartless man, but I'm getting bored with these bags every few days.
