Greed is good, shame so many people are useless.
This morning I see that Neil Warnock is planning to join the lawsuits against West Ham as rumoured, which probably isn't a big shock since everyone's after a slice of the pie these days, but I hope he's not believing his own arguments. Neil gets the crazy man of the day award for his comment:
I should still be a Premier League manager.
Now I won't pretend I'm an expert at this stuff but...
- The club was relegated on goal difference after a single season in the Premiership. Maybe someone who truly deserved to still be a Premier League manager wouldn't have dropped straight down again. Especially as had he won in the final day against Wigan his team wouldn't have been relegated (and Wigan would have). Or even a draw would've saved them!
- If Warnock was such a good judge of Premier League quality etc. maybe he wouldn't have thought Sheffield Unitied would bounce straight back, which they didn't.
- Maybe if he was such a good manager he wouldn't have sat around before taking the glamourous job at Crystal Palace (at the time 19th in the Championship, where incidentally they look set to remain for another year whilst Sheffield, now free of Warnock's mess, are Playoff contenders) and held out for one of the numerous Premiership jobs that have been available since he resigned.
Warnock, you're a wazzock. I know you want to be paid for your own ineptitude like everyone else these days but could you at least build a better argument than that?
