This is the first time since 1980 West Ham have made it to the final. This is further than the semi final of '91 when the ref handed the match to Notts Forest. This is the first season back in the top flight when everyone predicted instant relegation. This is a wonderful day!
This was almost a historic day too. In 1923 the Hammers lost to Bolton in the first FA Cup final played at the original Wembley Stadium, and the replacement was supposed to host this years final as it's opening match too before a last minute switch to Cardiff because not enough executive boxes were finished. The Hammers should've been the team playing in the first finals at both old and new stadiums, although there's still next year...
