What else can you do on Easter Sunday but watch a film about people rising from the dead? Well that's what Cathy and I have just done. Not that Mel Gibson thing, no, we saw Shaun of the Dead!

Without wishing to get carried away in superlatives I loved this film. It's so rare to find a film where the whole audience is laughing out loud at the same jokes and reacting like they did during this. It avoided the traditional British film problem of feeling like an extended sitcom episode (quite impressive since the film is linked so heavily with Spaced) and the cast is the traditional collection of anyone and everyone in UK comedy without it being stuffed full of second-rate actors trying to make up the numbers and add a familiar face.
