Celebrity Stalkers

<!--p style="float:right">

A blog can be hard work sometimes. There's the thinking of things to say (preferably interesting) and then typing them out too, however some days you wake up and check your email only to find manna from heaven awaiting you. In case you hadn't guess, today was one such day.

See, once upon a time there was a girl named Sara Racey-Tabrizi, she said a few things that caught the eye of her universities paper and I couldn't help commenting on them. Over the next few months I noticed the odd search for her name appearing in my logs, and they came from her university. I was a little puzzled why she kept coming back, but put it out of my mind slightly. And then she commented on my entry!

Was it a comment full of rational argument? Did it get her point across smoothly and eloquently? Nah, she called me an asshole and accused me of using her name without her permission. Ever the gentleman I pointed out copyright and fair use, that I was quoting what I believed to be a reputable news source, and in the email I sent her I even promised I would honour any replies she had to my post. I got ignored.

Time trotted on and I thought no more of it all, until a few weeks ago I noticed people were searching for her name again, including from a major company in the Seattle area. I somewhat braced myself for another foul-mouthed comment, but instead I was treated to a wonderful email telling me that Sara was now a contestant on a make me a model type show.

Could this wannabe model really be the same eloquent witty Sara I know and love? Well it certainly looks likely. Well it's not a common name, and she's from the same city, she's the right age, and she has a love of classics like "The Making of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit" (which bizarrely isn't listed on IMDB, or at least nothing with the exact title she gives is). By golly, my little stalker is on TV!

If she wins and becomes a top model I'll be able to sit around telling everyone how she called me an asshole before she was famous, and sharing tales of the first time I spotted her obsession with my simple webpage. It'll be hard following her progress from her, but you can be sure I'll make every effort.
