Fight the good fight

One of my sources has reported on a pro-war rally. Whilst deserving of my usual hats off for making a stand about something they believe in they also deserve a reminder that some people should just be there for numbers. The press will always hunt out the quotes and this rally was no exception.

“I’m loving it,” said sociology junior Sara Racey-Tabrizi. “I’m so sick of anti-war protests and professors who preach their political views. I’m half-Iranian, so I’m very much in favor of war.”

A little reminder for Sara, this war isn't about revenge or such. In fact George Jr has been very keen to remind us all that this has nothing to do with the past.

It really astounds me just how badly the pro-war side is doing in the PR wars. Seriously folks, there are some very intelligent and competent people speaking out for your corner. Maybe if the figureheads didn't insist on trying to put spin on the war and came out with their honest motives it wouldn't be so easy to pick holes in every other thing they say. Although there aren't a lot of voices crying out try to be picky about those that do. When the morons get the loud-hailer it just spoils the arguments of everyone they claim to speak for.

This war will happen, but that doesn't mean you're all allowed to sit back and screw around like this! Get out there and make intelligent arguments before the bombs and bullets start flying. Just because you'd already won before the argument started doesn't give you the right to not even bother fighting. The majority still oppose war, unless that changes soon our countries are little better than the despot they're trying to overthrow.
