The Clarecraft Discworld Event is a time of much joy and fun. Basically it's a weekend of indulgence for fans of Terry Pratchett's magnificent Discworld series, based in a field at the height of summer many people find the weekend a good time to unpack the ol' tent and gas stove to prove they're still useful.

Whilst this may not be common knowledge, I have in fact attended the last two CCDEs and managed to enjoy myself greatly both times, even though I only ever manage to meet a handful of people each time, however I do seem to manage to find the one person in the whole field who actually hates computers. Anyway, for those who doubt me, here in fact is proof that I have indeed managed to attend, someone noticed me after all.

For those who are curious the other star of this picture is also called Kevin, (Kevin Hackett for those in the know.) Now whilst I admit I kept a pretty low profile for the event it would seem that along with the partner in crime above someone noticed, in fact I'm talking about none other than the very man we all came to see, Terry Pratchett! Being an author he finds inspiration all around him, and I am honoured by the book he wrote about the weekend.
